AIRPORT RECEPTION

A & L Royal Education High School will arrange for our school driver or another representative from our school to personally meet you at the airport and escort you to Moose Jaw. If your flight arrives late at night, we will make arrangements for you to stay in a nice hotel near the airport and we will meet you the next morning.

We will also arrange transportation to the airport when you leave A & L Royal Education High School or when you plan to travel during vacation periods.

ACCOMMODATION & HOMESTAY

Our Homestay Coordinator will help you with every step of living in Homestay or dormitory. The Homestay Coordinator will match you with a suitable Canadian family. The Homestay Coordinator will also help you with any problems you may have with your homestay. Students under 18 must stay in Homestay or student dormitories. Students under 18 are not permitted to live independently. Students can live with their parents or a relative if they accompany them to Canada.

Our Homestay Coordinator will also help students over 18 years old to search and find a suitable apartment for rent. The Homestay Coordinator will help you with the lease, utilities, transportation, finding furniture, and show you your local neighborhood.

Carefully chosen host families enrich student experiences. Only those families who fulfill our standard for safety, experience and locations are selected.

While living cozily and safely with a host family, students also enjoy the privacy of their own room.

We have a large host family list in our database. According to students' needs, character, and preference, the school maintains contact with host families and, when necessary, gives suggestions to the host families on arrangements for the students.

We maintain a close relationship with host families to ensure that, in a new country and new place, students can adapt well and get along with the host families.

STUDENT VISAS AND STUDY PERMITS

Students from China need to apply for Study Permit with Citizenship and Immigration Canada before they come to Canada. ALRA will assist you with general visa advice. A & L Royal Education High School works together with Tingshua Immigration in Toronto. Together we will help you obtain your study permit. Together we will help you obtain a visa extension of your Study Permit and Re-Entry Visa.

UNIVERSITY APPLICATION

ALRA has experienced counselors at school. We give both group and one on one guidance to each student. We start our guidance program in grade 10 and continue through grade 12. We invite university representatives to our school to speak directly with students. We assist students with transcripts and the university application process. We keep parents informed during the process. Students with the assistants of their parents can make the best-informed decision for their university, college, or post-secondary studies!

LANGUAGE TESTING

A & L Royal Education High School tests our students on a regular basis. When students get two successful Versant test scores and a positive recommendation from their instructors then we will arrange for and IELTS test or a PET test. We want the students to test when they are ready!

A & L Royal Education High School also offers special classes after school for Language Testing preparation.

EXTRA CURRICALAR ACTIVITIES

A & L Royal Education High School provides many extracurricular activities for students. Most activities, athletic events and teams, and clubs are student lead. All activities, athletics, clubs and activities depend on the following factors:
     *Student interest
     *Sufficient number of students involved
     *A strong plan developed by the students
     *Sufficient staff supervision
     *Time of the event, activity, or club meeting
